The Office keeps accounting records of all economic and financial transactions of the State and signs and verifies expenditure validation and related payment orders, foreign transfers and the management of accounts receivable and payable. It manages and coordinates the preparation of the State General Accounts and the Consolidated Financial Statement of the State, public entities and Autonomous State Corporations. It is responsible for the layout and technical preparation of draft balance sheets. It supervises the accounting and financial management of State employees (issuing of pay slips, pensions, career reconstruction, management of sickness benefits, etc.).
